Experience
1998 – 2003
Hairstyling career began. Chad spent his first five years in the Aveda network specializing in haircutting and styling at the largest international chain of Aveda Concept Salons.
2004 – 2010
Opportunities to expand his talents worldwide, Chad began a six year journey coloring hair, studying advanced training techniques in Madrid, Barcelona, Toronto, Berlin, New York, Miami, Los Angles and San Diego.
2011
Joined the master stylist team at Horst & Friends Salon, in Minneapolis, MN. This position provided Chad an unparalleled experience to work and learn along side Aveda and Intelligent Nutrients Founder, Horst M. Rechelbacher. The tutor/mentor relationship quickly developed and soon Chad was assisting Horst on photoshoots, on stage educations as well as providing him regular haircuts. This influential bond continued until Horst’s passing in 2014. Chad continues to share the wisdom and education that Horst imparted to him.
2011 – present
Chad continues to serve salon clients while also teaching as an Intelligent Nutrients educator. Acting as Salon Ambassador for Intelligent Nutrients, he has educated salons, press/media editors and retail specialists about Intelligent Nutrients certified organic and environmentally conscious hair care and styling product lines.
2012
Chosen as the master stylist representative for Intelligent Nutrients at the Cosmoprof hair convention in Bologna, Italy.
2013
Expanding his passion for photography, Chad started studying the art of digital photography at the Minneapolis Community and Technical College and studio lighting/photo editing at the Minneapolis Center for Photography. Chad the honor to assist Horst with numerous photographic, television and educational events. Drawing inspiration from fashion, film, traveling and art, Chad loves creating and collaborating with clients to help them find the best looks to compliment their lifestyle.
2017 – present
Chad began volunteering/donating hair services at the Blythe Brenden-Mann Foundation Wellness Center at the University of Minnesota Masonic Children’s Hospital.
2019
Relocated to Oak Park, Illinois. Surrounded by the strong, mindful and locally focused community, Chad has opened Chad Keast Hair in the Arts District of Oak Park. Chad Keast Hair is commited to creating client enhancing hairstyles without unnecessary ingredients or burden to the planet. Chad continues to service his Minnesota clients at Urban Village Salon on a monthly basis.
